Food (5/5 stars): My sister-in-law works at Noodle Dynasty in Berkeley and I finally got to try it! I was blown away by how good everything was. The Beef Brisket Noodle Soup was my favorite. I loved how fatty, tender, and flavorful brisket was. The fried rice was beautifully plated and simple yet so delicious. And their portions were HUGE -- very suitable for sharing. If you're looking to try any appetizers, the Deep Fried Man Tou is a great sweet, vegetarian option and is chef's kiss with the condensed milk. They also surprised us with a complimentary Cucumber Salad, which was the perfect combination of savory, fresh, and spicy. What an amazing Chinese restaurant in the Bay Area! Experience (5/5 stars): * Price: reasonable * Wait Time: minimal for a party of 3, especially getting there right at noon * Service: amazing! Huge shoutout to Maya! * Parking: street parking in downtown Berkeley can be tough * Ambiance: I love the mom-and-pop vibes. It's a small restaurant but very charming and does the job. And I love the wall full of plants!

I honestly was not expecting much out of this place. From the outside, and even once you walk in it doesn't look like much. However, due to how busy it was I decided to give it a try. Their menu was pretty small. Seating and space in here i'd say is a bit limited. If you come in during a lunch or dinner rush, you may need to wait a bit to get a table, but the food will not disappoint! I ordered their beef brisket soup. Flavors were incredible and did not disappoint. Came here on a rainy day, so of course a good bowl of noddles and soup is always super comforting for that type of weather! I'll definitely think twice before judging a restaurant by its cover again in the future!

3.5 stars Great for noodle soup, 20-30 min wait, apps would pass Potstickers - 3/5 Cucumber salad - 2/5, soggy Lamb skewers - 2/5, overcooked and hard, spices weren't really balanced Lamb brisket/beef brisket noodle soup were both good! Depth of broth was spot on. Like the customization touch of different noodle selections. A no BS noodle spot that's popular for Cal students so expect to be sitting in a pretty crammed spot and a 20 min average wait time. Great to try tho and would do takeout in the future!

Chewy noodles and umami broth Came here during a Saturday around 1pm and the place was packed with the line out the door. I was starving but the wait time was not bad as I got seated after 20min or so. There's not waitlist so everyone were just waiting in line. Once seated, you can order via the QR code or you can ask for an iPad to order. I tried the pickled cabbage and fish filet thin noodle soup and the braised beef strips noodle soup. The noodles were cooked al dente and had the perfect chewy texture. The broth was very umami and delicious. There was a generous amount of toppings for each bowl as well! I personally prefer the non spicy noodle soup! This place can get super crowded so I recommend coming here early. The tables and chairs are placed very close to each other so you can hear the conversation of the tables around you. The staff are very efficient and friendly. Service is super fast. I will definitely come back and try their other dishes from the menu!

Went there as my first restaurant of the semester! We got the beef brisket AMAZING AND SPICY AS ALWAYS, flat noodle with wontons which was sooooo delicious (the flat noodles here are so underrated) and tried the fried buns with condensed milk-- great texture but not the yummiest. For first timers-- lamb skewers for taste of street food and a crunch to the soup so good, especially as a side. Get the beef brisket soup extra spicy-- spice kicks in hard, or if you're like my dad who likes dry noodles-- get the flat noodle with wonton. Trust me. The waiters were so sweet too! It was raining really hard yesterday and they kept passing me napkins to dry my face. 6 stars for customer service.

Thai Noodle II is dearly missed, but wow this place has some of the best food Berkeleys seen in a while! Second time here and even more impressed than the first. I'd be here everyday if it weren't so crowded! Try to come at off-peak times. But even if you do have to wait, it is absolutely worth it. My sister is a student at Cal and she comes here at least once a week. This is the one place she wanted to show my parents when visiting. Got the lamb skewers and wontons to start then 24 hour beef soup. For two hungry people, this was plenty of food and we had a little leftover soup. Reasonably priced for the amount of food we got. The lamb skewers are 11/10 the best lamb I've probably ever had. The seasoning was so flavorful. The place was busy and the service was friendly but no-frills. The wait to be seated can be a lot, but it moves pretty fast and the food comes out quickly. The team is a well oiled machine.
